I have lived in Golden for 57 years, married to my wife, Kathy, who was born and raised in Golden. We have two sons, who continue to live in Golden. My wife and I have been very involved in Golden over all the years of my living here.

 

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career/accomplishments. What do you love most about what you do?
Founding member of Board of Trustees of the Golden Welcome Center; served on Golden City Council; member of Fossil Trace Golf Course Trask Force; recognized as a "Senior Hero" for Community Service by Jefferson County Council on Aging.

Bridgewater Grill, Miners Saloon, and Eldorado

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
57 years

Q: What is one of your favorite hiking or biking trails?
Too old to hike and bike

Q: What advice would you give to yourself 10 years ago?
Be patient and learn to focus; things happen for a reason; learn to navigate the ups and downs.

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
Foss General Store and Meyer Hardware

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
Promoting Golden as a historical treasure trove with attractions and an authentic community that feels like a small town for all seasons.

Q: What is something interesting that most people don't know about you?
Grew up on a farm and in a small town in SE Nebraska. High School Graduation Class of ’17. Played six-man and eight-man football. Was one of the first graduates from the high school to play college football.
