I was raised in a small town in Missouri near Kansas City and moved to beautiful Colorado in 2013. My husband and I first moved to Denver and then to Conifer to experience mountain living in 2015. While we loved living in the mountains, childcare was scarce. We started a family in 2019, which brought us back to the metro area, where we found a home in Golden. Here, we felt like we had the best of both worlds! We have two kids, Sloane and Sullivan, and the sweetest, most hilarious bernadoodle named Redley. We love Golden for its small-town charm and beautiful scenery!
I'm an attorney who specializes in personal injury and wrongful death cases. I've been doing this work for about 15 years. My biggest accomplishment is when I opened my own law firm in 2021, Hailey | Hart PLLC, and we've been recognized as a Best Law Firm by “U.S. News & World Report” and Super Lawyers every year since inception. What I love the most is advocating for people and families during one of the most difficult times in their lives to help restore a sense of stability, dignity, and justice. After an injury, clients feel overwhelmed, beat down, and confused. Being able to take on the legal burden for them and standing up to the liable parties so my clients can focus on healing, both physically and emotionally, is incredibly meaningful to me and important. I also find it deeply motivating to level the playing field for people who otherwise would be at a disadvantage and ensure that safety and responsibility are taken seriously. Plus, I love the excitement of being in the courtroom.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants or breweries in our community?
We love going to Cast Iron Tavern as a family because it has a great steak and the kids can get mini corn dogs, which they love! We also enjoy Cannonball Creek Brewery because I think they make some of the best dark beers around.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I've lived in Golden since 2019 and plan to make this our forever home!
Q: What is one of your favorite hiking or biking trails?
I'm not much of a biker, but I love hiking! If I'm with the kiddos, we'll hike North Table Mountain or White Ranch. If I'm alone and looking for a more challenging hike, one of my favorites is Shelf Lake Trail near Grant.
Q: What advice would you give to yourself 10 years ago?
Be patient. Make all major decisions when things are quiet and you have a clear mind. And to remember that relationships are everything. Always treat people with compassion and kindness because you never know what they are going through.
Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
The Golden Outpost. It feels like quintessential Golden.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
The small-town feel and gorgeous scenery resting at the foot of the Rocky Mountains.
Q: What is something interesting that most people don't know about you?
I was a Sonic Car Hop for four years to help support myself in high school and part of college, and it was a great job! Who doesn't love free french fries?
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
I'm fortunate to report that many people inspire me to be better. My husband, Paul, inspires me to be patient, adventurous, and focused. My dear friend and business partner, Melissa, inspires me to be unapologetically myself. My parents inspire me to work hard and laugh through the tough times. My kids inspire me to be vulnerable and present.
Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
Warmth, love, and fun.
