The first time I set foot in Golden, I knew I was “Home.” The thought struck me as rather odd, pulling off Highway 58 and turning onto Washington Avenue. I parked next to Clear Creek to meet a friend. With the creek waters running by, I felt safe, cradled by the mesas and mountains which surround this valley. I moved here within the next few months and dove into what has proven to be a very special community.
My family has been in Colorado for many generations. My great-grandparents (Edwards) were both born and raised in Denver. I spent every summer of my life here, flown in from wherever my mother had settled, and loved playing in the backwoods of Colorado with all my heart.
To create support and assist families and individuals in meaningful ways, I became a licensed real estate broker. That was only a first step. As a licensed realtor and member of the DMAR, CAR, and NAR, I have up-to-the-minute information at my fingertips. I worked as a licensed property & casualty insurance producer and have always enjoyed the creativity of the building and construction trades. PBS’s “This Old House” was a favorite show to watch as a kid, and it always fascinated me that a house would be around for many generations, giving so many years of stability and wealth. I also taught music to children for many years at the Mile Hi Children’s Enrichment Center and the DaVinci School of Music. I learned how to support families and children while also raising my own two children. I love being able to apply the wisdom and experience I’ve gained from previous roles to the real estate work I’m doing now.
