I moved to Golden in 2018 after having lived in Denver for a number of years. I truly love the community here and how much of it is concentrated on the outdoors. It’s a dream to be able to mountain bike from my garage through miles and miles of single-track trails without getting in a car or hitting a highway. The relatively small size of the community has also helped me to foster amazing relationships with my neighbors. I work as the Assistant Clinical Medical Director at a non-profit primary care clinic that focuses on providing quality health care for all patients, though many of our patients are uninsured. Work can be stressful and take an emotional toll, and I’m thankful for good people and a beautiful place to relax at the end of a day. My latest adventure has been my journey through parenthood- my wife and I are currently Moms to two children. We have fostered children ranging in age from infants, to teenagers to teenagers with infants of their own. It has been quite an experience and I’m grateful to be at a place in my life where I’m able to provide a safe home. Our foster journey is coming to an end as we move through adoption with our amazing daughter who has brought us so much joy! It’s incredible to be able to raise my kids in such an amazing place.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career/accomplishments. What do you love most about what you do?

New Terrain is my favorite brewery by far because it has a great place for kids to play outside, awesome beer, good community, and great music. We can bike on trails directly from our house to their backdoor.
