Hello all! My family and I moved from Michigan to Colorado in 1976, and came to Golden in 1980. It has been a great place to live and work, and I feel blessed to be here.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career/accomplishments. What do you love most about what you do?
I’ve loved being a part of various community activities and efforts over the years and have always sought to be engaged in meaningful ways, starting with involvement in my faith community and at the local schools my four children attended. I was ordained at Calvary Episcopal Church in 1988. Participating in Leadership Golden helped me to learn about different ways I could be involved in the broader community. I worked with the Golden Police Department to establish a restorative justice program for youth and also served as a Chaplain with the department for 10 years. I helped found and was Director of the Golden Family Resource Center, an effort that grew out of my work with a program called Tying Neighborhoods Together. I’ve served on the boards of CAG and BGoldN. At present, I continue to be on staff as the Pastor for Outreach and Care at Calvary Church. I am also Chair of Hunger Free Golden, a community collaborative focused on strengthening all aspects of our local food system and reducing food insecurity, and am a member of the Golden Citizen’s Budget Advisory Committee. I also manage the Golden Rescue Fund and serve on The Salvation Army Golden Service Extension Unit Committee.
